How to make 5 INGREDIENTS VEGAN IRISH SODA BREAD

  • Add vinegar, oat milk, baking soda and salt, mix well first.
  • Then feed the flour slowly.
  • Knead until it reaches a consistency that will not stick to your hands.
  • Flatten the tray you will cook by pressing on it (thickness increases the cooking time) and make holes on it with a fork. It is baked in a 180 degree oven with a fan until it is browned and light brown.
  • When it comes out of the oven, wrap it in a cloth so that the crust doesn’t get too hard! The bread that is rested for half an hour becomes thicker.

That is it! Bon Appetit!

What is Irish Soda Bread?

Soda bread has been the most preferred bread of Irish cuisine since the nineteenth century. The most important feature of this bread type is that the yeast is replaced by baking powder. Although all types of soda bread traditionally contain flour, baking powder and sour cream, every baker in Ireland uses their own soda bread recipe with different proportions, additional ingredients and unique techniques. But still, soda breads are roughly divided into three main categories: soda breads, commonly used raisins, dried fruit and eggs added to the recipe, fruit soda breads and brown soda breads traditionally baked in a cast iron pan over an open fire and using whole wheat flour instead of normal flour.
